Yotel Hotel Review

March 31, 2013

Not new to me, but new to DRESSED, we were so honored to be allowed to review the property. Yotel was one of the first venues we've visited during a perfume launch upon arriving in Manhattan back in 2010, so we feel the hotel is special to us.

Yotel is such a modern hotel. You'd get that vibe upon checking in in their large, open minimalistic lobby. Clean white marble, purple accents, floor to ceiling glass and touch screen monitors that welcome you. Need to drop off bags? Let the robotic arm located in the lobby take them from you.

Yotel does a good job at being innovative.

The property is located at 42nd and 10th ave in the Hells Kitchen area of Manhattan. You're in midtown, convenience isn't an issue when it's time to quickly check in.

After you check-in at the kiosk in the lobby, you're there given your keys for you room. All automated.

The part I was waiting to see was the room. I've been to the hotel as I said before for business, but now I was able to actually see inside the rooms. Impressed nonetheless when I got off the 18th floor. Super cute, still minimal design.

Even though I've never been to Japan, I felt like that was the call for the night. The bed was the softest I've been on in a while. To save space, the frame is designed to fold up in a seated position. Intimately the bedrooms shower is made of all glass; no real doors needed here.

TV time.
Realize that these body washes/shampoos are bolted to the wall for a reason! You will force yourself to take an hour shower because of it.

This hotel is a great spot to check out and not just for sleeping in. The hotel always has an event going on. If you dare to experience a high-tech, modern getaway even for a night, set up a reservation soon.
